100th birthday celebrations at Beeston care homeCelebrations were in full swing at Silverwood care home in Beeston as Resident Mary turned 100 years old.

Mary, who has been living at Silverwood for the past few years, enjoys taking part in social events at the home and was therefore delighted to discover that staff had organised a fantastic birthday for her.

Silverwood was delighted to welcome Mary’s nearest and dearest to the party, as everyone enjoyed singing and dancing to the fantastic entertainer.

Mary was overjoyed to see a very special guest at her party, as the Mayor of Broxtowe, Michael Brown, came along to wish her a very happy birthday.

To top off the celebrations, kitchen staff prepared a fabulous buffet for guests to enjoy, as Mary’s loved ones enjoyed a glass of champagne and a handmade birthday cake.

Debra Meynell, Home Manager at Silverwood, said: “At HC-One, we make every effort to celebrate our Residents’ special occasions in then most meaningful way possible. Mary thoroughly enjoyed her party, it was lovely to see her smiling and laughing with her nearest and dearest.”
