A visit from Thunder the therapy husky at Nottingham care homeResidents at Beeches care home received a special visitor today, in the form of a therapy husky named Thunder.

Thunder is a specially trained dog that is able to show empathy to the people around him, and is able to interact to benefit people’s wellbeing. Thunder looks and feels just like a big teddy bear, his fur is so soft to touch and he is great at giving cuddles as the Residents were able to find out!

Thunder’s cute face and loving nature came across to the Residents, easing any nerves and they could really enjoy petting him and spending time in his company.

One of the Residents commented ‘He’s so lovely and cuddly.’

All of the Residents really enjoyed the visit, so Colleagues at the home have invited him back on a monthly basis so everyone can get to spend more time with him.
