Amber Lodge Residents follow the yellow brick road to Leeds Playhouse TheatreResidents at Amber Lodge care home in Armley, Leeds followed the yellow brick road to Leeds Playhouse Theatre for a production of The Wizard of Oz.

As they enthusiastically watched the story of Dorothy, the scarecrow, the lion and the scarecrow, Residents admired the special effects of the show and sang along to the songs.

In the interval, Residents enjoyed a hot beverage and pot of ice cream as they chatted to their friends who joined them from fellow HC-One care home, Rievaulx House.

The show was a great success amongst Residents, as they gave a massive round of applause at the end.

Ann, a Resident at Amber Lodge, commented: “Oh I have really enjoyed myself, I didn’t stop clapping and smiling!”
