Arbroath care home remembers fallen heroes on Remembrance Day

Residents and team members at HC-One’s Lunan Court care home in Arbroath paid their respects to fallen heroes on Remembrance Day on Monday 11th November.

Remembrance Day is observed by members of the Commonwealth of Nations to remember members of the military and armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

Everyone at Lunan Court united for two minutes of silence, reflecting on the past, remembering loved ones and thinking of those who are still serving in the armed forces. Afterwards, Residents watched a special film dedicated to Remembrance Day, which everyone enjoyed and thought it was a lovely way to pay their respects. 

Gemma Rice, Home Manager at Lunan Court: “We’d like to extend our thanks to everyone for joining us in remembering the selfless sacrifice of our fallen heroes.

“Some of our Residents have lost loved ones during different conflicts so it was a cathartic experience for them to remember and pay their respects.”
