Arts and crafts with a historical spin at Belper care home

Residents at Bankwood care home in Duffield, Belper enjoyed an arts and crafts session with a historic twist as they created beautiful stained glass-inspired paintings. 

Inspired by stained glass windows displayed in local buildings, Residents got to work on creating their paintings and used an array of colourful paints, gems and sequins. 

The finished result was beautiful, as Residents incorporated flowers, stars and butterflies into their designs. The paintings were proudly displayed in the home’s conservatory to help brighten up the wintery January days.

Izeta Hamza, Home Manager at Bankwood, said: “The Residents’ artwork has really helped to brighten up the conservatory, it looks so lovely in there.”
