Avandale Lodge celebrates glowing report from CQCAvandale Lodge care home in Lostock Gralam – part of HC-One, the kind care company – is celebrating its recent report from Care Quality Commission (CQC) which rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas.

The team at Avandale Lodge were delighted to receive such an impressive CQC report, which rated the home as ‘Good’ in all inspection areas, which found the service to be Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsible, and Well-Led.

Inspectors highlighted the warm interactions and genuine affections between staff and people living in the home. This sentiment was echoed by Residents in the report, with a host positive comments including "I enjoy living [here] and I have no complaints."

Located on Manchester Road, Avandale Lodge offers short and long term care packages for older members of the community needing residential and residential dementia care. 

Avandale Lodge will be opening its doors on Tuesday 3rd March for the home’s first dementia-friendly coffee morning of the year with HC-One’s Director of Memory Care, Professor Graham Stokes will be leading a discussion on a variety of topics surrounding dementia. 

All are welcome to attend the coffee morning which will run from 10:30 am till 12 pm and will be the inaugural event of the home’s monthly coffee mornings for 2020 which will be hosted on the first Tuesday of each month.
