Bake a smile at Bingham care homeIt was smiles all around at Beauvale care home in Bingham, Nottingham when a local woman baked a special birthday cake for Resident, Carol Heywood.

Local lady, Liz, has started a ‘Bake A Smile’ project where she bakes cakes for people who may not have anyone else to celebrate special occasions with. When Liz approached Beauvale offering her support, the team suggest that she could make a cake for Carol, who would be celebrating her birthday in the home on Tuesday 28th January.

On Carol’s birthday, Liz visited the home with a beautiful lemon cake decorated with blue flowers which was presented to Carol and definitely put a smile on her face. Everyone commented on how lovely the cake looked and tasted and the team thanked Liz for her very lovely gesture.

Carol said: “It’s beautiful, thank you so much, what a lovely idea.”
