Baking afternoon takes a festive twist at Grimsby care homeChristmas celebrations were in full swing at Clarendon Hall care home in Grimsby as Residents helped to bake and decorate the home’s Christmas cake.

After making the cake during autumn time, Residents finally decided to decorate the festive treat ready for Christmas.

Clarendon Hall volunteer Catherine was joined by Residents as she decorated the cake, which featured Christmas trees, snowmen, a penguin and Santa Claus made from icing.

As they decorated the cake, Residents enjoyed listening to festive tunes as they got into the Christmas spirit together.

Barbara, a Resident at Clarendon Hall, thoroughly enjoyed the baking session and said: “I remember decorating Christmas cakes when my kids were little.”
