Barnard Castle care home opens its doors to community on Christmas DayHC-One’s Beaconsfield Court care home in Barnard Castle opened its doors to people in the local community on Christmas Day.

The team and Residents at Beaconsfield Court wanted to make sure that no one in the local community would have to spend Christmas alone, so they invited people who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day.

Four members of the community accepted the invitation and enjoyed a traditional homemade Christmas dinner and were surprised with a small gift from everyone at Beaconsfield Court.

Local PCSOs Liz Finn and Preet Singh also popped in to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hand delivered a Christmas dinner and gift from Beaconsfield Court to a local man who was unwell on Christmas Day and unable to attend the celebrations at the home.

Beaconsfield Court Home Manager, Laura Langridge said: “We were delighted to welcome our local community into our home to celebrate Christmas Day, everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed creating happy memories together.”
