Bedwas care home supports Alzheimer’s Society on Elf Day 2019Parklands care home in Bedwas, Caerphilly was delighted to show its support to Alzheimer’s Society as Colleagues and Residents celebrated Elf Day 2019.

Colleagues at Parklands welcomed Residents, Relatives and members of the local community to join in with the fundraising activities, as they put on their best elf attire to celebrate the day.

Elf Day takes place in December each year as a way of spreading festive cheer while raising money for Alzheimer’s Society to help people affected by dementia.

Parklands was delighted to take part in the fundraising, as they organised a fun-filled afternoon of festive games for all to enjoy.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and Parklands was delighted to have raised a total of £48.70 for the charity.

Lianne Hargreaves, Home Manager at Parklands, said: “Elf Day is a highly-anticipated event in our Christmas calendar every year, as Residents love the festive feel in the home along with seeing staff in fancy dress.

“Our mischievous elves were full of fun and laughter and were delighted with the fantastic amount of money raised on the day.”
