Birthday celebrations at Beeston care home

Celebrations were in full swing at Silverwood care home in Beeston as Resident Ken was thrown a special 95th birthday party. 

Staff at Silverwood decorated the home with balloons and bunting, which Ken was delighted to see when he entered the Residents’ lounge. 

Ken was joined by his loved ones for the special occasion, as he opened lots of treasured cards and gifts in honour of the special day. He even enjoyed video calling one of his grandchildren living in Australia, who wished him a happy birthday!

To top off the celebrations, Ken was presented with a 95th birthday cake before blowing out the candles and sharing the delicious dessert with his friends and family. 

Ken thoroughly enjoyed the day, as he said: “I was really happy and it was lovely to have so many cards.”
