Birthday celebrations at Moat House care homeCelebrations were in order at HC-One’s The Moat House care home as Colleagues and Residents celebrated Resident, Barbara’s birthday in the home.

As decided by Barbara and her fellow Residents, the home tied her birthday celebrations in with a day honouring Robert Burns’ birthday also.

The craft club in the home created tartan bunting alongside tartan napkins for the table decorations, with the catering team cooking a delicious meal of ‘haggis, neeps and tatties’, before everyone joined together to play ‘pass the haggis’ and reading a Scottish poem or answering quiz questions about Scotland.

Barbara was pleased with her birthday celebrations and was glad to have shared the day with everyone in the home as well as her friends and family.

Noreen Adkin, home manager, commented: “A lovely afternoon was enjoyed by all today. We are glad to have celebrated Barbara’s birthday with her and her loved ones.”
