Bishop Auckland care home Resident receives fitness award

Heather Linsley, a Resident at HC-One’s Bishopsgate Lodge care home in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, received a special award from exercise coach Jerome Gordon.

When Heather moved to Bishopsgate Lodge, she was very shy but quickly came out of her shell and now enjoys taking part in most activities in the home, especially her two weekly exercise sessions.

Jerome, who has been visiting Bishopsgate Lodge for the last five years has been very impressed with Heather’s hard work and awarded her with a Most Improved certificate. Heather is only the third person to receive this award since Jerome started visiting the home.

Bishopsgate Lodge Home Manager, Linda Bravey said: “We are delighted that Heather received this award, it is lovely to see her getting involved in all of the different activities and keeping active with her fellow Residents thanks to Jerome.”
