Bread-making at Bingham care homeThe sweet smell of baking bread filled Beauvale care home in Bingham, Nottingham as Resident Gavin enjoyed a bread-making session.

Keen baker Gavin mentioned to a Colleague at Beauvale that he used to make a lot of bread and asked if he could make some.

Much to Gavin’s delight, the team at Beauvale bought the ingredients needed to make bread and arranged a special baking session for Gavin.

Gavin got to work on mixing the ingredients and kneading the dough, before baking the savoury treat in the oven.

Once the bread was baked, Gavin was keen to try his creation and enjoyed a couple of slices at tea time.

Gavin said: “I enjoyed making the bread, it was very nice and tasty!”
