Bridport care home welcome new furry friendResidents at HC-One’s St. James’ Park care home were delighted to welcome a new animal therapy dog into the home.

Leo the lurcher, provides animal therapy to encourage the confidence and well-being of Residents, and was instantly popular within the home. 

Residents enjoy the interaction with Leo, both from within their rooms, as well as within the lounges of the home, with some Residents offering treats to the dog eahc time he visits.

Everyone remarked at how much of a calm animal Leo is, and how much of an impact he has had on the animal loving Residents who look forward to his visits each fortnight.

Helen Ganfield, home manager, commented: “Leo is such a calm dog, and it is wonderful to see the impact he has had on our Residents already.”
