Calverton care home has flipping good fun for Pancake DaySpringwater Lodge care home in Calverton, Nottingham had stacks of fun as Residents celebrated Pancake Day.

Also known as Shrove Tuesday, Pancake Day takes place on the day before Ash Wednesday. It occurs between February 2 and March 9, depending on the date of Easter.

Celebrations for Pancake Day kicked off in style at Springwater Lodge as chef Megan prepared the delicious desserts, with Residents even having a go at flipping them.

Once the pancakes were cooked, Residents enjoyed selecting from a variety of fillings including lemon and sugar, syrup and jam and ate them with a cup of tea.

One Resident commented: “That was a great laugh! I worked so hard to flip my pancake without dropping it!”
