Care home raises £200 for Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue during annual Christmas partyHC-One’s Thamesfield care home in Henley were delighted to hold their annual Christmas party, welcoming Residents and their families to celebrate together.

Guests were delighted as they received a glass of champagne upon arrival, before making their way into the beautifully decorated dining and lounge areas to enjoy a buffet prepared by the home’s chef.

A choir of school children from the local Valley Road Primary School then provided entertainment for all as they serenaded the home with a variety of festive songs, with Residents and their Relatives dancing along. A prize draw was also held in the home during the event, which raised a wonderful total of just over £200 for the Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue, the home’s nominated charity.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and remarked at what a lovely day it had been, already looking forward to next year’s party.

Lina Nela, home manager, commented: “It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves, it has been such a wonderful day and we are so glad to have raised money for such a fantastic charity.”
