A trio of caring Colleagues at Pennwood Lodge care home in Kingswood, Wotton-under-Edge was delighted to be rewarded Kindness in Care awards in recognition of their hard work.
The Kindness in Care Awards programme was launched by HC-One, a leading provider in health and social care, in October 2013. It recognises the efforts of their kindest colleagues, and the impact they have on the lives of Residents and their loved ones.
Month on month, record breaking numbers of awards are presented to colleagues, volunteers, and whole teams within the family of homes that HC-One operates across the UK.
Carl Clutterbuck, Head Chef at Pennwood Lodge, was the first to receive his award for going the extra mile and making the Christmas food extra special for Residents.
Kitchen Assistant John Butcher was also presented a Kindness in Care Award for recommending Pennwood Lodge for a generous £200 donation from the Heaven of the South cycling group, with the money going towards the Residents’ Comfort Fund.
Fellow Colleague Katie Knight, a Care Assistant, was given the final award for always giving her all to help out around the home.
