Castletown care home celebrates Resident’s kindnessHC-One’s Northview Lodge care home in Castletown, Tyne and Wear is celebrating the kindness of one of its Residents, Hannah Mathews, who was presented with a Kindness in Care award for her thoughtful and caring actions towards a fellow Resident.

The Kindness in Care Awards programme was launched by HC-One, a leading provider in health and social care, in October 2013.  It recognises the efforts of their kindest Colleagues and the impact they have on the lives of Residents and their loved ones.

Home Manager, Patrick presented Hannah with a special Kindness in Care Award, which included a certificate, badge and personal letter for thanks from HC-One Chief Executive Officer, Justin Hutchens, for the compassion she showed to a fellow Resident in a time of distress.

Hannah Mathews commented: "I am so surprised, I was just doing what everyone would do and caring for my friend."

Northview Lodge Home Manager, Patrick Morley said: “It was a pleasure to present Hannah with this award, her wonderful actions are an inspiration to us all and I am delighted we were able to recognise Hannah with an award that is usually only presented to members of the team.”
