Chelmsford care home Resident celebrates 100th birthday
Celebrations were in order at HC-One’s Admirals Reach care home as Resident, Edith, celebrated her 100th birthday.

During her life, Edith enjoyed a varied career as she underwent a fire fighting role before then moving on to work in a local Boots store during the war.

Edith has always been a family oriented woman, and took a keen interest in knitting throughout the years. She and her husband, Leslie enjoyed a happy life together, alongside their four children, living in her home town of Tooting, London.

Edith was delighted as she was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers alongside a birthday card, and she thanked the home for the wonderful gesture.

Lal Mangalam, home manager, commented: “We are delighted to have celebrated this wonderful occasion with Edith, we hope she has truly enjoyed her day.”
