Chesterton care home Residents party like it’s the 1940sResidents at HC-One’s The Cambridge care home were delighted as they held a party in the home, with a 1940s theme.

The home enjoyed a month of reminiscence in the lead up to the party, and as they remembered the war period, Colleagues decided it would be a lovely idea to host a party.

Everything was chosen in the theme of 1940s, from the music to the decorations and food provided. Residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves as the event brought back so many memories of the era for them.

Residents enjoyed dancing together as they recalled memories of the dances they would attend in their younger days, with their families and friends alike.

Sham Deonarine, home manager, commented: “Everyone has really enjoyed this afternoon. Bringing back the fond memories of their past is so important for Residents.”
