Chinese New Year at Stafford care homeCelebrations were in order at HC-One’s Maple Court care home as Residents, Relatives and Colleagues enjoyed hosting a Chinese New Year party at the home.

The home held a Chinese themed afternoon tea for all to enjoy, with entertainment provided by a professional singer. Some Residents and Colleagues also opted to dress the part as they wore various traditional Chinese clothing.

Everyone had a wonderful day, with the home being joined by local press and members of St. Trinity Church who joined the celebrations.

Residents remarked at how much they enjoyed dressing in traditional Chinese clothing, trying the different food items and stated how important it was to learn about the various cultures within the world.

Hayley Rix, home manager, commented: “It was wonderful to celebrate Chinese New Year within the home, everyone has really enjoyed themselves and we hope to celebrate again next year.”
