Chocolatey desserts go down a treat at Eckington care homeBaking sessions have gone down a treat at April Park care home in Eckington as Residents created a batch of delicious chocolate truffles.

Residents channelled their inner chocolatiers as they helped to mix the ingredients together, before moulding the mixture into balls ready to set.

Baking is one of the most popular activities amongst those living at April Park, as many Residents find it a calming and therapeutic experience.

Once the truffles were set, Residents enjoyed tasting the chocolatey treats with their family and friends.

Gail Wardle, Home Manager at April Park, said: “It was lovely to see the Residents laughing and joking with each other as they made yet another delicious dessert at our baking session.”
