Christmas bake off is a success at Coventry care homeColleagues at Victoria Mews care home in Coventry got into the competitive spirit as they battled it out to be crowned winner of the home’s Christmas Bake Off.

Once all entries were in, there were two contenders in the running to receive the winning title.

Sarah baked a beautiful chocolate reindeer cake, while Charlotte entered a more traditional Christmas cake, which was decorated with the help of her children.

To help decide the winner, Residents, visitors and Colleagues at the home were invited to cast their vote for their favourite cake, based on both decoration and taste.

With only one vote between the contestants, Sarah was delighted to be crowned winner of this year’s competition.

One Resident commented: “Well done to Sarah! The Christmas fruit cake was very festive and delicious, while the reindeer cake was so chocolatey and beautifully decorated. It was certainly a close call.”
