Christmas baking at Eastbourne care homeResidents at HC-One’s Coppice Court care home were getting into the Christmas spirit recently as they decided to create some christmas cakes with the home’s chef.

Using traditional fruit slightly soaked in rum, Residents enjoyed taking turns to stir the mixture and make a wish, adding in spices and flavourings to their cake mix.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and commented on how much it reminded them of baking with their families as young children.

The Residents are so excited to sample their wonderful cakes soon.

Juliet Wills, home manager, commented: “Today has been so productive, Residents enjoy baking, so a spot of Christmas baking was welcomed as the home gets excited in preparation for the holiday.”
