Christmas card excitement at Maple Lodge care homeResidents at HC-One’s Maple Lodge care home got into the Christmas spirit as they enjoyed a week filled with Christmas cards and decorations.

The home began the week firstly by making their own Christmas cards for Relatives, complete with various craft decorations and drawings, whilst Christmas music played in the background for all to sing along to.

Residents were later delighted to receive a bundle of Christmas cards from the Christmas Post project, some made by volunteers and others by school children, with each handmade card containing a personal message for each Resident.

Everyone was so pleased with the cards they received, and each one gave Residents the biggest smile.

Sarah Dodd, home manager, commented: “Everyone really enjoyed the cards, both making and receiving them. Christmas is such a wonderful time for everyone to come together.”
