Christmas cheer for all to hear at Huddersfield care homeThe Oakes care home in Huddersfield was delighted to welcome Residents’ loved ones and friends in the local community to its fun-filled Christmas Fayre.

The festive event had a whole host of activities on offer to suit the whole family, including arts and crafts, a beautiful cake stall and a tombola.

Residents also received a visit from the big man himself, as he wished everyone a merry Christmas and handed out presents to children visiting the home.

The Oakes was delighted to have raised a fantastic £300 from the event overall, with fundraising efforts from Colleagues, Residents and Relatives contributing to the total.

Macheala Parker, Home Manager at The Oakes, said: “Our Christmas Fayre was a great success! It was so lovely to see everyone smiling together as they prepared for Christmas at the home.”
