Christmas markets at Old Gates care homeChristmas was all around at Old Gates care home as they held their first Christmas market in the home for Residents.

Invitations were sent to local businesses to hold stalls at the market, with the home encouraging members of the local community to celebrate alongside Residents and Relatives.

Santa Claus made an appearance in his grotto, as the home provided stalls of German market inspired food prepared by the catering team.

Home made mince pies and mulled wine were also available for those to enjoy and Residents remarked at how excited the event made them feel for Christmas. Many people from the local community joined the home’s festivities and everyone was delighted to have welcomed them.

Helen Holden, home manager, commented: “It has been a wonderful event for everyone to be a part of, Residents have enjoyed engaging with the local community and we look forward to hopefully hosting another event soon.”
