Colleagues work as a team at Northwich care homeKitchen Colleagues at HC-One’s Avandale Lodge care home went ‘back to the floor’ for the day as they thought it would be beneficial for Colleagues to spend more time with Residents.

To assist in the kitchen in replacement of these Colleagues, Area Director Robert Wheatley, Specialist Zoe Jackson, home manager Samantha Farahat and HC-One’s Acorn Hollow home manager Rachel Astles took on the role of kitchen assistants as they each helped to create a delicious meal for Residents.

Meanwhile, the Colleagues from the kitchen were able to play games and take part in activities with the Residents in the home as they don’t usually get the opportunity to do so.

The afternoon went well and was enjoyed by all. Samantha Farahat, home manager, commented: “This was such a lovely idea to enrich the lives of our Residents, but also to engage each department in the home.”
