Coventry care home celebrates Chinese New YearCelebrations were in full swing at Brandon House care home in Coventry as Residents and Colleagues welcomed in the Chinese New Year.

To help welcome in the Year of the Rat, Colleagues at Brandon House decorated the home with traditional Chinese decorations. Residents even helped to create a striking Chinese dragon to display in the home.

After tucking in to a selection of traditional Chinese food, Residents enjoyed watching a dragon dance and gave a round of applause when the performance was over.

One Resident commented: “It was a surprise when the dragon came in to see us. It was dancing away and was just amazing!”

Sheryl Davis, Home Manager at Brandon House, said: “Chinese New Year at Brandon House was a great success. It’s nice to celebrate different cultures and for Residents to try various foods from across the globe.”
