CQC rates Wigston care home as good across the boardHC-One’s Cedar Court care home in Wigston, Leicestershire is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). 

The team at Cedar Court was delighted to receive an impressive report that 
rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents. This also shows that the home is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsible and Well-led.

The inspectors were full of praise for staff at Cedar Court, highlighting the kind ways in which they provide care for people living at the home.  This sentiment was echoed by Residents, who made remarks such as: “They are very kind and caring, they are lovely carers.”

The report reflected the variety of stimulating activities available to Residents at the home, including entertainment and quizzes. Inspectors were also impressed by the efforts made by the Cedar Court’s Wellbeing Coordinator to enhance the wellbeing of people who were nursed in their rooms, such as hand massages, listening to music and reading books.
