Crafty afternoon at Acacia LodgeResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Acacia Lodge care home enjoyed an afternoon of creativity as they took part in making their own bird feeders.

Using pine cones and bird seed, Residents enjoyed combining ingredients together with lard as they made different sized bird feeders to be hung outside in the garden.

As they took part in the activity, Residents and Colleagues spoke of their favourite birds and the ones they enjoyed looking at the most in the garden.

Farai Maringa, home manager, commented: “It has been lovely to see the Residents enjoying themselves so much, we hope the bird feeders go down well with the birds in the garden.”
