Day filled with memories at Gipton fire station for Leeds care home ResidentsResidents and Colleagues from Colton Lodges care home in Leeds enjoyed a day out to the Gipton fire station community café. There were plenty of activities going on at the fire station for everyone to get involved with.

After taking a bus trip down to the station, Residents took part in different arts and crafts activities and played a variety of board games too. After plenty of fun filled activities, it was time to enjoy teas and coffees before heading around the building for a tour.

The old fire station was filled with memorabilia, including an old Victorian fire engine. The Residents loved the whole atmosphere and the history to the displays, bringing back memories for some as Sylvia one of the Residents commented ‘I remember when this was the main station years ago’.
