Doris Day tribute act delights at Falkirk care home

Residents at HC-One’s Barleystone care home in Falkirk were pleased to welcome Glynis from Shine Bright Productions performing her Doris Day tribute act on Friday 1st November.

Everyone gathered in the lounge to watch Glynis perform Doris Day’s hits, including ‘Que Sera Sera’, ‘Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps’ and ‘Dream A Little Dream Of Me’. 

Coreen Day, a Resident at the home was very excited for the performance as she shares the same surname the American actress and singer. She got up to perform a duet with Glynis and sang beautifully to ‘You Made Me Love You’ as everyone sang and danced along.

A great time was had by all, one Resident commented: “What a lovely show, Glynis has such a beautiful voice it was a joy to watch her.”

Karen Syme, Home Manager at Barleystone said: “Thank you to Glynis for putting on such an engaging performance, it was heart-warming to see Coreen getting up to sing.”
