Eccles care home marks Remembrance Day with wartime sing-alongResidents at Barton Brook care home in Eccles, Salford paid their respects to those affected by the war with a sing-along in the home.

After taking a two minute silence in memory of those who fought in the war, Residents shared memories from their experiences during World War 2.

The afternoon continued with a war-themed sing-along in the home, as Residents sang and danced to a number of classic wartime songs performed by talented singer, Lilli Moore.

Remembrance Day is a highly-anticipated day in Barton Brook’s event calendar, as it gives Residents the opportunity to commemorate soldiers who fought in World War 1 and 2, as well as those still serving the country today.

One Resident commented: “That was such a lovely way to mark Remembrance Day, the sing-along brought back so many memories.”
