Eggcellent craft session at Oldham care homeAvalon Park care home in Oldham has started its celebrations for Easter as Residents have created handmade cards.

Keen crafter Jean, who lives at Avalon Park, was keen to practise her card designing skills by making Easter cards for her loved ones.

Jean tried out a few different designs, using different colours to make Easter egg-themed cards.

Jean had great fun creating the cards as she discussed how much Easter celebrations have changed since she was a child. She also expressed to staff that she would like a chocolate egg again his year.

Renu Kataria, Home Manager at Avalon Park, said: “It’s always great to see Residents expressing their creative sides, as it really helps to promote wellbeing and communication amongst the older community.”
