Exercise class is a success at Norton Lees care homeResidents at Holmwood care home in Norton Lees, Sheffield enjoyed their weekly exercise class as part of HC-One’s efforts to promote physical and mental wellbeing of those living in the home.

Each week, Holmwood welcomes a professional fitness instructor to the home to run the class, which aims to improve Residents’ balance, strength and flexibility.

The exercise class is a popular activity at Holmwood, with 15 Residents taking part in the two and a half hour-long session each week.

One Resident commented: “I used to attend an exercise class before living at Holmwood, so it’s great to continue with my fitness regime at the home.”

Vicki Leck, Home Manager, said: “The fitness class was a great success. The home was full of laughter and happiness, even the people who watched enjoyed tapping along to the music.”
