Fang-tastic Halloween party at Stanley care homeHC-One’s Stoneleigh care home in Stanley held a spook-tacularly fun Halloween party on Thursday 31st October.

Halloween is an annual celebration that originated as an ancient Celtic festival where people would wear costumes to scare off ghosts. Since then, it has evolved into a day of fun festivities, including trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving.

Residents were joined by friends, family and members of the team for an afternoon of ghoulishly great entertainment from Two Bitz, a delicious buffet and a spooky raffle. Everyone had a wonderful day, with Residents commenting on how lovely the Halloween decorations were and how nice it was to celebrate with loved ones.

Susan Dodds, Home Manager at Stoneleigh said: “All of our Residents were very excited for the day. Halloween is a popular celebration and many of our Residents excitedly told stories of what they used to do at Halloween when they were younger.”
