Festive pantomime performance at Penrith care homeResidents were treated to a pantomime production of Alice and Wonderland this festive season.

Alice and Wonderland is based on the infamous novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland written by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. The pantomime was performed by actors from Newcastle-upon-Tyne and included popular characters such as Alice, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat.

Residents, guests and team members gathered in the lounge for the performance, everyone laughed and cheered throughout, finishing with a round of applause and compliments for the performers. The evening was continued with Christmas carols followed by seasonal beverages and nibbles.

Jackie Johnstone, Home Manager at Cold Springs Park said: “What a wonderful performance, thank you to North East Productions. It has really got us all counting down the days till Christmas at Cold Springs Park.”
