Festive preparations underway at Bishop Auckland care homeA sprinkle of Christmas cheer filled HC-One’s Bishopsgate Lodge care home in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, when Residents and team members became Santa’s little helpers and decorated the home.

It was a real team effort as Residents and team members came together to prepare the home for the festive season, some wrapped boxes to be displayed under the tree, while others sorted through baubles and decorated the trees.

As they worked, Residents shared stories of their favourite Christmas traditions and chatted about their plans for Christmas this year. Over a few days, they managed to transform Bishopsgate Lodge into a winter wonderland, filled with beautiful Christmas displays and decorations.

Everyone was pleased with the final result, visitors to the home have already commented on how lovely and festive it looks and it has really got everyone in the spirit of Christmas.

Bishopsgate Lodge Home Manager, Linda Bravey said: “Thank you to everyone who helped create our wonderfully festive home, it has really got us counting down the days till Christmas at Bishopsgate Lodge.”
