Fine wine and cheese evening at Morpeth care homeHC-One’s Foxton Court care home in Morpeth opened its doors to The Lord Mayor of Morpeth and the local community for an evening of wine and cheese.

The Lord Mayor of Morpeth, Councillor Alison Byard and members of the local community visited Foxton Court on Thursday 20th February for the home’s highly anticipated wine and cheese evening.

Residents and guests socialised as they sampled a selection of fine wines and artisan cheeses supplied by Grape and Grain, a specialist wine merchant based in Morpeth. During the evening, The Lord Mayor spoke with residents, team members and visitors as well as touring the home’s high quality facilities.

The evening proved to be a huge success, with members of the local community expressing an interest in volunteering at the home, the planning of future events with the Women’s Institute and a surprise visitor for one of our Residents which brought her to tears of joy.

Joanne Bulford, Foxton Court Home Manager commented: “I would like to thank everyone who attended our wine and cheese evening, especially The Lord Mayor.”
