Football fans come together at Alloa care homeFootball fans at HC-One’s The Orchard care home in Tullibody were delighted to welcome local volunteer, Dave on Wednesday 15th January for a discussion about football past and present.

Dave is a local volunteer who visits The Orchard every month to sit and chat with Residents about football, both current and historical highlights from the sport. Dave’s visits are especially popular with the gentlemen at The Orchard, who enjoy chatting about their favourite teams over a tipple, just like they used to do in their local pub with their friends.

Everyone enjoys the monthly discussions, which often go over their one hour schedule to two or three hours once everyone gets chatting. One Resident, Hugh, commented that he thinks it’s great to learn new things about different players and teams.

Fiona Johnstone, Home Manager at The Orchard commented: “Our football fans look forward to Dave’s visits and we appreciate him taking the time to come and spend a couple of hours chatting with us each month.”
