Eckington care home football fans visit Chesterfield F.C.Four Residents from HC-One’s April Park care home in Eckington enjoyed a tour around local football ground, Proact Stadium, home to Chesterfield F.C. on Monday 27th January.

Residents and staff from April Park were welcomed by the football club’s head of media and communications, Nick Johnson and shown around the club’s facilities, including, the trophy cabinet, conference rooms, function areas, private boxes and the players dining area.

The highlight of the tour for the gentlemen was going pitch-side were they were greeted by Chesterfield F.C. players, Will Evans, Robbie Weir, Curtis Weston and Haydn Hollis.

It was a wonderful day, the men agreed that it was great to be shown around their local football club’s stadium and learn more about the team.

Gail Wardle, Home Manager at April Park, said: “Thank you to Chesterfield F.C. for welcoming our Residents into your stadium, the tour was enjoyed by the gentlemen and created some happy memories for them to cherish.”
