Fun at the Illuminations for Wigan care home ResidentsResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Westwood Lodge care home enjoyed an evening of delight as they visited nearby Blackpool to experience the illuminations.

A fish and chip supper was enjoyed by all before everyone took a trip through the illuminations to admire the wonderful lights and displays.

Residents then decided they wanted to stop at the Coral Island attraction to enjoy some Blackpool rock, taking it back to the home to share with other Residents.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their day as some Residents remarked that they hadn’t visited Blackpool in a long time, and enjoyed seeing the illuminations again.

Lorraine Young, home manager, commented: “Residents have really enjoyed their evening, we all spoke about the illuminations and the wonderful displays in Blackpool.”
