Fun-filled start to the year for Pontefract care home ResidentsResidents at HC-One’s Priory Gardens care home in Pontefract have kick started the new decade with a month full of activities including a visit from ZooLab and a trip to a local garden centre.

A group of Residents visited Featherstone garden centre on Tuesday 14th January where they enjoyed browsing the shops before heading to the onsite café for a slice of cake and a coffee.

On Wednesday 15th January, Residents, staff, friends and family welcomed some weird and wonderful visitors for a ZooLab experience. ZooLab has a national network of rangers with their own team of animals who visit schools and care homes across the UK to deliver informative and engaging animal encounters.

Sarah Hudson, Home Manager at Priory Gardens commented: “We have enjoyed a busy start to the year with a variety of fun activities for all to enjoy each day, including a daily ‘Stop The Clock’ where team members spend some one-to-one quality time with the Residents, getting to know more about each individual so that we can continue to provide the best possible care for every Resident.”
