Garden centre visit for Westwood Lodge ResidentsResidents at HC-One’s Westwood Lodge care home enjoyed a recent visit to their local garden centre, Barton Grange, which proved to be a great day out.

The group of Residents and some Colleagues, enjoyed walking around the centre, admiring the different variations of flowers and speaking about their favourite colours and types.

Everyone then took a walk over to the ‘Flower Bowl’, an area of the garden centre which included different activities, such as a cinema, curling and a bowling alley. The Residents enjoyed looking around here as they watched a curling lesson take place.

The exciting day ended with a trip to the Ocean restaurant, to enjoy a fish and chip dinner together. One Resident enjoyed this so much, as he remarked: “The fish I had was the biggest and best fish I have ever tried, it was such a lovel day out for us all."
