Garforth care home Residents welcome year of the ratCelebrations were in full swing at Augustus Court care home in Garforth, Leeds as Residents enjoyed Chinese New Year.

Residents welcomed in the year of the rat as Colleague Trish brought in items that she had acquired from living in China for a few years, including handmade plates, pottery and beautiful silk clothing.

Trish gave Residents a talk about the culture and food that she experienced in China, before everyone enjoyed taking part in a quiz at the home.

One Resident commented: “I’ve never travelled overseas but China sounds lovely. After listening to Trish talk about China, I’m interested in the food they grow and eat.”
