Glasgow care home Residents enjoy silent disco

Residents at HC-One’s Wyndford Locks care home in Glasgow enjoyed an unusual experience when they welcomed Ya Dancer Silent Disco into the home earlier this month.

Everyone was excited to participate in the home’s first silent disco, Residents were each given a pair of headphones, which played a variety of songs from traditional Scottish music to classic hits from decades past.

Lights and streamers helped create the perfect atmosphere as Residents danced along to the music, everyone commented that is a wonderful and unique experience, with some asking if the home could host another silent disco again very soon.

Wyndford Locks Home Manager, Karen Watson said: “It was lovely to see everyone having fun and taking part in the silent disco, we are hoping to raise the funds to buy our own equipment so that we can hosts lots of silent discos for our Residents and visitors in the future.”
