Guisborough care home supports Alzheimer’s Society on Elf DayHC-One’s Park House care home in Guisborough raised awareness and vital funds for Alzheimer’s Society by taking part in Elf Day on Friday 6th December.

Elf Day is a festive-themed fundraising day created by Alzheimer’s Society which provides a fun way to raise money for people affected by dementia by spreading some festive cheer.

On the day, members of the team dressed as elves and Residents wore left hats as they welcomed visitors for an elf-themed raffle and live entertainment from ‘the singing elf’ who performed classics from the 40’s all the way through to the 60’s, finishing with a selection of Christmas hits.

Everyone had a wonderful day, Residents commented that it was lovely to raise money for such worthwhile cause while getting the festive spirit.

Park House Home Manager, Julie Woods said: “Thank you to everyone who took part in our Elf Day, we managed to raise over £130 for the Alzheimer’s Society.”
