Hamilton care home Residents take a trip down memory laneResidents from HC-One’s Douglas View care home in Hamilton enjoyed a trip down memory lane with a visit to the People’s Palace in Glasgow city centre on Tuesday 14th January.

The group headed to a local museum where they explored a variety of exhibits including air raid shelters, famous Scottish comedians, old Glasgow tenement buildings and much more.

Looking at all of the exhibits brought back memories for the group, with Residents sharing fond memories of family get together to watch a comedian and sharing stories of going to the wash houses with their mothers.

Lyndsey Barnes, Douglas View Home Manager said: “I am pleased that everyone enjoyed the outing and it was lovely to hear about all of the lovely memories it brought flooding back.”
